EMPOWER

The mouth has always been at the forefront of this project in the development stage of the logo. Other ideas were created such as a side profile of a girl or hands together yet these never stood out as fiercely as the mouth. There was something bold and powerful about the mouth, especially with the introduction of the red lip. The reason for picking the mouth over other designs was its inclusive nature. With the other images, we had to worry about whether it would exclude women based on their hair colour and skin colour, or on the shape or colour of their eyes or whether their nails were manicured or natural. Whereas, the mouth is a universal element of every womens face, it is their source of speaking into lives of others, its their source of being a powerful woman. Every lovely and intellectual thought that passes the barrier of your mind is released through the mouth, creating a focal point of your confidence and beauty. Therefore, we deemed it necessary to have the mouth as the logo because EMPOWER believes that power, love and happiness stems from the words that are breathed into life through the mouth.
